Chi Omega

A MESSAGE FROM Chi Omega’S PRESIDENT

On behalf of the Gamma Mu chapter of Chi Omega, it is with great pleasure to welcome you to Coastal Carolina University! Here at Coastal, we are a group of women who create a family that pride ourselves on the values of our six purposes: Friendship, High Standards of Personnel, Sincere Learning and Credible Scholarship, Participation in Campus Activities, Career and Personal Development, and Community Service. By showcasing Chi Omega’s purposes and continuing to live by our values through thoughts, words, and actions, the women of Chi Omega candidly enjoy one another not only as friends, but as Sisters. Establishing in 2017 at Coastal, we are honored and proud of the accomplishments we have made thus far, including winning Homecoming Champions in 2020, Student Involvement & Leadership Award for Chapter of the Year in 2021 and 2023, recognized as a National Chi Omega Chapter of Excellence, and Greek Outstanding Philanthropy in 2024.

Chi Omega’s national philanthropy is The Make-A-Wish Foundation; our chapter has served over 6,900 hours and has raised over $46,000 to grant multiple wishes for children in our area. Our local partnerships with Horry-Georgetown and Myrtle Beach areas motivate us to meaningfully contribute to our communities making a meaningful impact, driving positive changes in countless ways. In Chi Omega, we host multiple philanthropy events with the Greek community and are a part of Make-A-Wish Send Offs which is truly an honor to contribute to. Each member is celebrated for her unique strengths and is recognized for her accomplishments. Our sisterhood is made up of diverse individuals that make up our family; we are a group of scholars, leaders, and change makers dedicated to fostering a community of empowerment and growth. We are sisters with purpose, on purpose.

My sisters and I wish you the best of luck on your journey here at Coastal Carolina University! Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions about our sisterhood through our social media!
