A MESSAGE FROM Chi Omega’S PRESIDENT
On behalf of the Gamma Mu Chapter of Chi Omega, it is with great pleasure to welcome you all to Coastal Carolina University! Here, we are more than just a sorority; we are a group of women who create a family that pride ourselves on the values of our six purposes; Friendship, High Standards of Personnel, Sincere Learning and Credible Scholarship, Participation in Campus Activities, Career Development, and Community Service. By embracing Chi Omega’s six purposes and placing our values at the root of our words, thoughts, and actions, we are able to truly enjoy one another as Sisters and as friends. Since our establishment in 2017, we are honored and proud of the accomplishments we have made thus far, including Student Involvement & Leadership Award for Chapter of the Year for 2023 and 2021, being a National Chi Omega Chapter of Excellence, winning Homecoming Champions in 2020 and Greek Outstanding Philanthropy for 2024.
Chi Omega's national philanthropy is The Make-A-Wish Foundation; our chapter alone has served over 6,900 hours and has granted multiple wishes for children in our area. Our collaborative efforts with local partners in the Horry-Georgetown and Myrtle Beach areas empower us to contribute meaningfully to our communities, effecting positive change in numerous ways beyond measure.Being able to be a part of Wish Send Offs and hosting multiple philanthropy events with the Greek community has truly been an honor to contribute to. We have had a chance to create a bond that will last a lifetime, and each member is celebrated for her unique strengths. Our sisterhood is made up of diverse individuals who make up our family. We are a group of leaders, scholars, scientists and pageant queens who honor the different talents in our chapter. We are sisters with purpose, on purpose.
